The above picture is off the only Pitts on Norwegian letters, finnally ready for its maiden flight since 1999.
This is a Pitts S2A, S/N 2006, the sixth from the factory, rolled out of the hangar in august 1971. It had the registration N16PS, owned by Bud Davisson who later registered it as N6PS. This Pitts had a landing accident in 1999, landed too short of the runway damaging the landing gear followed by propstrike and damage to left lower and upper wing. It was salvaged by Doug Zapf who has rebuilt everything up to cowering the wings. The project was continued by me, installing finishing tapes and applying polyfiber process. Today it appears red with black bursts and white trim.
The new register is LN-AHN
The Pitts S2A will be available for aerobatic demo rides. You will also find it on future Airshow.
This site is still under construction so more will gradually appear.
